Mike Floros The Hanoi Rocks style is usually not my thing, but these guys have a great mix, quality production, and the songwriting is top notch. I find myself listening to this CD at least once a week, if not more. You can't go wrong picking this up! Favorite track: Leave The Lights On.

Uberrock.co.uk: "'I Have Nothing' that really hit me first listen and is my current favourite song. With a chorus so catchy you will need a frontal lobotomy to get it outta your head. In to Monroe territory again and a tasty Social Distortion guitar break makes it a classic glitter trash anthem in my book."

"Hazard and Wood manage to pull off the near impossible for two forty-somethings and deliver an album that sounds like snotty teenagers with starry eyes, playing trashy, soon to be hits. From the bedroom to the clubs and the gutters inbetween, they re-live their youth and you will join them."

"I can safely say there's not one bad track on this gem of an album and if like me you love sleazy rock 'n' roll with heaps of soul then you need this album in your life."

Bucketlistmusicreviews.com: "Dirtbag Republic’s self-titled debut is a straightforward, no-frills, rock record that will no doubt satisfy fans hungry for some head-banging riffs and sing-along choruses. Combining the sleaziness of Aerosmith with some punk-ish attitude, the band delivers a great rock record with some youthful energy" Rating 8/10

Sleazeroxx.com: "Bringing the fun and swagger back to rock n’ roll — that is what I think of when I listen to Dirtbag Republic‘s self-titled debut album. Dirtbag Republic starts off fast and strong, and simply never lets up. If you like the first track “Can You Feel It” — and what is not to like about a sleazy rocker with a big guitar sound and Hanoi Rocks like swagger — odds are you’re going to like every track on the album because every track is similar in terms of being a straight forward sleazy dirty rocker. In other words, if you like one song on Dirtbag Republic, you’ll like them all!"

"If you like sleaze type rock, picking up Dirtbag Republic‘s debut album is a no brainer — end of story"

Track Name: Can You Feel It
Can you feel it
(Hazard/Wood)

Can you feel it
It's hot outside
Like New York on a summer night

I can see you
standing there
Let me guess that you want to fight?

Run as fast you can
Don't look back like a man
Don't be the hero running
Gotta get out, but it's not my time

I am so sick and tired of
Always being called a liar
I cannot take it anymore

Can we just sit and talk
Instead of always squawking
So I'm not forced right out that door

I'm so tired now
This isn't fun
My condition is CSD

I feel like bailing
On you now
But It's not a reality

Run as fast you can
Don't look back like a man
Don't be the hero running
Gotta get out, but it's not my time

I am so sick and tired of
Always being called a liar
I cannot take it anymore

Can we just sit and talk
Instead of always squawking
So I'm not forced right out that door
Track Name: I Have Nothing
I Have Nothing
(Hazard/Wood)

I wrote this song cuz' there is nothing left
My heart is black and blue, so sail that sunken chest

The sea is drained of all my salt and I've got nothing in the bank
You have racked out all my credit cards and I have you to thank

I have nothing, no shoes are on my feet
I'm penniless, a vagabond and there's no one to blame but me

You - counted my cards, that was plain to me
My life, is left in shards goddamn you bourgeoisie

The sea is drained all of my salt and I've got nothing in the bank
You have maxed out all my credit cards and I have you to thank

I have nothing, no shoes are on my feet
I'm penniless, a vagabond and there's no one to blame but me

At times it seemed you would not throw it all away
cause I had myself believing that I'd convert you from the stray

from lack of trust or who knows why, at this point why bother try
please go on if you must and destroy another guy
I'm outta and here and you know why

I have nothing, no shoes are on my feet
I'm penniless, a vagabond and there's no one to blame but me

I have nothing, no shoes are on my feet
I'm penniless, a vagabond and there's no one to blame but me
Track Name: I Don't Believe
I Don’t Believe
(Hazard/Wood)

Everything little thing that I used to do
Revolved around what I thought was you
Oh I don’t know what I was thinking that year.
Everything little thing that I used to do
Revolved around what I thought was you
Now I don’t believe, now I don’t believe it

Oh I need a glass of water
to wash the crap that you constantly fed me
and you tell me about some other guy that doesn’t know what he is in for

Every little thing that I hoped for you
Every little thing that I hoped you do
You sabotage it, because that’s what you do
Every little thing that I hoped for you
Every little thing that I hoped you do
You sabotage it, Ya’ you sabotage it

Oh I need a glass of water
to wash the crap that you constantly fed me
and you tell me about some other guy that doesn’t know what he is in for
Track Name: Sky Is Falling
Sky is falling
Hazard/Wood

The sky is falling
The sky is falling
On me today
I hear you calling
But I won’t be falling for another word you say

and the story goes

How was I to know?
Was the end of the road
Cuz when I’d see you looking into my eyes
I could see you’re scared
And I don’t how you could still deny, what was in your
In your heart

The sky is falling
As your eyes are talking
The words all crumble
On the day you stumbled
The sky is falling
Your eyes are talking
Still talking to me
Still talking to me

I heard you crying
Like your dreams were over
Saw you slip away
It was petrifying to come face to face
To another empty day

and the story goes

How was I to know?
Was the end of the road
Cuz when I’d see you looking into my eyes
I could see you’re scared
C And I don’t how you could still deny, what was in your
In your heart

The sky is falling
As your eyes are talking
The words all crumble
On the day you stumbled
The sky is falling
Your eyes are talking
Still talking to me
Still talking to me
Track Name: Socialize
Socialize
(Wood/Hazard)

While you socialize, I pay for your addiction
It’s a growing price, it’s a shame to see you wasting
All your time, you’re wasting in the bathroom
You’ll form a line, your hairline starts increasing

All this time I thought you would socialize
There was a time I thought you didn’t mind
All this time I thought you would socialize
There was a time I thought you didn’t mind
didn’t mind
didn’t mind
didn’t mind

Why’d you cut your hair, you’re looking like a pigeon
You ain’t so square, cuz I know what you’ve been itchin’
If you cram it in, you can get the fuck outta my place
On your dirty sofa you’re all alone and trippin’

All this time I thought you would socialize
There was a time I thought you didn’t mind
All this time I thought you would socialize
There was a time I thought you didn’t mind
didn’t mind
didn’t mind
didn’t mind
Track Name: Give Me A Taste
Give Me A Taste
Wood/Hazard

Down in Texas I got busted,
And left for dead without any bail

I was nailed to a cross
and started growing some moss
I feel tired and uninspired
So come on over and lets get wired

I had a black friend who wore a dress
He blew his mind on Amyl and Ex
He bailed me out, but who’d ever guess
He was a drag queen without intent

He shacked me up, and he shacked me down
I made it with all his pretty friends
I’ll make it with all your friends, enough said

Give me a taste
Of that old dog 20/20
Give me a taste
Of that old dog 20/20

I came home, skinny as rake
Got a coffee and my hands start to shake

I was nailed to a cross
and started growing some moss
I feel tired and uninspired
So come on over and lets get wired

I had a black friend who wore a dress
He blew his mind on Amyl and Ex
He bailed me out, but who’d ever guess
He was a drag queen without intent

He shacked me up, and he shacked me down
I made it with all his pretty friends
I’ll make it with all your friends, enough said

Give me a taste
Of that old dog 20/20
Give me a taste
Of that old dog 20/20
Track Name: Exits & Dangers
Exits & Dangers
Wood/Hazard/Stefanson

Why don’t you sit right back and tell us what you’ve done
I don’t care if the federalis have you on the run
You know got to give yourself up to the man in black

And you know you cannot behave
like a spoiled little brat with your hat on backwards
your pants hanging past your ass not that it matters
cuz you better give respect to the man at the end of your day

Exits and dangers and possible strangers
So stop this while you can, before it is too late
Exits and dangers and possible strangers
Stop this while you can, before it is your fate

I know a guy down the road who stole all his stache of peruvian coke
and didn’t live to tell another day, let be that a lesson for you to take away

Exits and dangers and possible strangers
So stop this while you can, before it is too late
Exits and dangers and possible strangers
Stop this while you can, before it is your fate
Track Name: Leave The Lights On
Leave The Lights On
(Hazard/Wood)

I’ve been passing the time of day that trails off into years
Like the fog of war inside your mind after way too many beers
Old man still has the rock but times changed for the worst
Music business is destroyed, being cool becomes a curse

Do you feel it now
Do you feel it now
Like the soul being sucked right through the top of your head

We’re gonna leave the lights on
Leave the lights on at home
We’re gonna leave the lights on
Leave the lights on at home

I remember the times we’d rock, so hard that we’d feel ill
While guys were standing in the back of the club with their arms crossed standing still
Grunge scene it came and went, bandwagons were the rage
Give me Hanoi Rocks any day or night or year or any age

Do you feel it now
Do you feel it now
Like the soul being sucked right through the top of your head

We’re gonna leave the lights on
Leave the lights on at home
We’re gonna leave the lights on
Leave the lights on at home
Track Name: No Reason For Loving You
No Reason For Loving You
(Hazard/Wood)

Oh yeah,
Uh Huh!,

Get out town as fast as you can
I don’t really care I’ve had all I can stand
Shots from the left, shots from the right
Bitch gone crazy I’m leaving tonight

I'm leaving tonight, ya’ i’m leaving
I’m leaving tonight, tonight

I got
No reason for loving for you
No reason for loving for you
I don’t have a single feeling for any part of you
I’ve got no reason for loving you

Start a new life as fast as I can
All I can hope is beat the dealer's hand
Hope she don’t follow, that would bad
Endless cycle of good gone to bad

I'm leaving tonight, ya’ i’m leaving
I’m leaving tonight, tonight

I got
No reason for loving for you
No reason for loving for you
I don’t have a single feeling for any part of you
I’ve got no reason for loving you
Track Name: Aloha Lover
Aloha Lover
(Hazard/Wood)

I can’t take any more of your self righteous, destructive fantasy world
That’s right, I will not fight for you or what you stand for
Because it’s so screwed up, it’s like a messed up dream

You know sometimes it borderlines obscene
How many more times will you come back to me, not this time you see

Aloh, Aloha Lover
Aloh, Aloha Lover
Aloh, Aloha Lover
Aloh, Aloha Lover

Recycled blathering, hypocritical, condescending, try to chip away at my mind
No more, I put a padlock on the door to my heart
And you’ll never see the key at least from me again

You know sometimes it borderlines obscene
How many more times will you come back to me, not this time you see

Aloh, Aloha Lover
Aloh, Aloha Lover
Aloh, Aloha Lover
Aloh, Aloha Lover

It’s like a messed up dream, a narcissistic scheme
It’s like a messed up dream, a narcissistic scheme
Oh It’s like a messed up dream, a narcissistic scheme
Aloha Lover
Alo-ha Lo-ver, Yeah eeya
Track Name: Little Boys In Blue
Little Boys In Blue
Jones/Cook

I'm just a honky peck little piggy boy

Little boys in blue, they got a job to do
In a uniform, They tell you what to do

They help old ladies across the street
Direct the traffic on the street
It's just a job like yours and mine
But you’re always working overtime
You could join anytime
Just as long as you tow the line
And you're up to six feet tall
And you look a fucking fool, Oh

And when they’re walking on the beat
I’d like to know what they all think

There’s a sod out in the cold
Come on, let’s go and give him a bull
We’ll take him down to bleeding yard
We’ll find out if he’s fucking on
Special patrol, license to kill
Little town, they’ll beat you well
They don’t care who they blame
All they bother’s who they name, excuse me

Little boys like you (x7)
Track Name: Minister & The Angel
Minister & the angel
(Michael Cote)

Your mother pulled a spoon out of the drawer
I used to see you hangin out beside the general store
Oh yeah, In the rain
You were dreaming of a river of what you couldn’t afford

The minister gave a sermon on tv
Said, get ready for the final retribution
It didn’t mean a lot to me

The demons haunt me as I lay awake in bed
You were an angel I suppose
I saw you standing with your thumb out on the road
You’re looking weary, when you’re looking for someone to drive you home

Laying in the hospital with a wheeze
You were dreaming of a river, they told me that I may not live
The minister and the angel took me home
Gave me shelter
The minister came to forgive

The demons haunt me as I lay awake in bed
You were an angel I suppose
I saw you standing with your thumb out on the road
You’re looking weary, when you’re looking for someone to drive you home

You were standing in the rain yeah, In the cold
you were an angel I suppose
You were a fallen down angel on the road
you were an angel I suppose
